I am sorry that we haven’t kept up to date with this blog, but so much has been going on, we hardly ever slow down. I am preaching more than I ever dreamed I would be preaching. I preached 6 times this past week in 5 different meetings. We had 2 new churches to take us on for support, Praise God. It is good when we can rest a little from the road, but I praise God for the opportunity to preach and sing praises to his name all across this county. I thank God for the opportunity to be used! I often pray to the Lord that if I am not going to be used then please don’t send me to a place. I stand amazed at just how much He chooses to use us in His Ministry. And yet the month of October will probably be our busiest time of the year. We will be in Florida, Georgia, Michigan, West Virginia and Tennessee all in the same month. I don’t know if we will be able to spend more than one night in our own home, but we want to thank God that there are still some churches who love old time religion and the truth of the Word of God. We want to thank God for All of His Blessings. Surely we can’t name them all for time wouldn’t permit. We will try to update this blog as we go along and time permits. Thank you for praying for us & having part in this ministry. May God Bless You!

We have been in a few of the best Missions Meetings that we have ever been in , and we have gotten to see some old time friends as well as some great new people that we have never met before. We took Michala’s picture with some of the greatest preachers and heroes of the faith that have ever been. Bro. Ballew has been preaching some great messages in a couple of missions meetings that have really inspired us and changed our lives in some manners. We were in a meeting with Bro. Sammy Allen recently and privileged again to hear a great man of God. Thank God for all of the men of God that are still living & preaching the truth of the Word of God in this day and hour. I am so thankful that our little girl – Michala Mercy Sherwood is getting to grow up around the best preaching in America today. Thank God, Hallelujah!!!

Well by the title of this blog you are probably asking what in the world kind of question is this?

After singing & preaching in a service, directly after the service had ended.  I was approached by a man as he asked me a question that I have never been asked before.

The question that caught me so off guard was simply asked like this:

"WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO HAVE THE POWER OF GOD UPON ME LIKE THE POWER OF GOD IS ON YOU?"

I told you that it was an interesting question!!!

I was startled at first and didn't quite know how to answer, until finally I just told the man: "That is a very interesting question, I will have to think about it and get back to you on an answer!"

I know that the Bible says to be ready always to give an answer, but I will be honest I didn't have an answer to give the man.  I really still do not know what kind of an answer to give this man.  I know that may sound strange, but I know that the answer has NOTHING to do with me, so I have a hard time thinking just how Jesus would answer this question.

Anyways, I am just thinking out loud, I hope not to bore any of our readers.  I made a commitment to start writing more in our blog on our website, even if it is just thinking out loud.

Maybe the Lord will use something that we say to help someone else along the way.

Bro. Dan Sherwood

This was just another typical youth meeting that I preached.  Without fail, it seems that the youth will listen and respond to preaching so much more than will the adults in this day & time.  As we ministered in music, my wife played the piano and sang as God prepared the hearts to hear the message, as well as prepared me to preach the message.  There was a great response during the invitation, and at least one young man was saved, and others drawn closer to God.  Thank God!!!  If only we had pictures of all of these kinds of meetings across the country that God has blessed us to be able to preach and sing and lead others to Christ.  Some in Salvation for the first time, and others drawing closer to God because of the Conviction of the Sweet Holy Spirit dealing with hearts.  God Is So Good!!

The pictures do a wonderful job of telling just how great of a meeting it was this year at Jubilee!  Praise God for still stirring in our hearts!!!

This past Monday we went to see some good friends of ours, Bro. Michael, Ginny, Macie, and Ellie.  We had a great time as we always do.  Michala refers to Macie and Ellie as her sisters, and they call her their cousin.  Bro. Michael grilled some steak that was out of this world delicious and then we went to their church and had a wonderful service.  We look forward to getting to go back soon!!!

We just wanted to update everyone about some of our dear friends, whose son just married in February of 2009.  We were not able to attend the wedding services, but just wanted you all to know that we are so excited for you all, and hope that God's blessing remains greatly upon you, as your family is a very precious family to us, and we thank God for your friendship.  Congratulations Tom & Katie.  Also congratulations to Bro. Tim & Aurielle on their recent marriage, and the wonderful news about the baby on the way.  And congratulations as well on the soon to be wed – Jim & Mary, who’s wedding is this month.  Wow, three sons married off in just 3 months time, way to go!!!  You all are in our thoughts and prayers.  With Love.  Bro. Dan, Sis. Amanda, Michala Mercy Sherwood.

God has been especially sweet to me lately.  Through trials and dark roads that we face sometimes in life it is always good to know that His sweet presence is there.  I have thanked Him many times for His goodness to me in my secret place, but I wanted to thank Him publicly.

I just wanted to THANK GOD for my wonderful husband Daniel.  He is not only my best friend but he is the most wonderful preacher in my life.  I could not have asked for a better man to follow.  God has been so good to us I just can’t even say in words how good He has been.  He has blessed us with a wonderful daughter, a wonderful church, and wonderful friends.  I thank God for Pastor Adam Humphries, he has been more of a friend to my husband than any that I have ever known, and I appreciate that so much.

I am so excited about what God is doing in our lives and in His ministry.  We have had 3 churches to take us on for support in the past month.  Even in some dark times like these, God is still so good.  I can’t thank Him enough for all that He has done in our home, and all that I know He is going to do.  I’M GLAD TO KNOW IT’S IN THE SAVIOUR’S HANDS.
