Br. Dan,
I just saw Rapid City on the weather and the Lord laid you on my heart to write.
Hang in there brother and no matter what happens...never allow yourself to get discouraged!! I learned a long time ago that the devil is in charge of discouraging us. I'm not saying that I can't be, but with my background, ( not giving a rip about anything), It's hard for me to be discouraged! God is so good to us all of the time!! I only had 8 people show up for the Lord's table on Sunday evening! But Praise God for the eight!!! AMEN?? Keep on keepin on has been our motto!! We're praying for you, Amanda, Michaela(I know I spelled it wrong), and the new addition!!

We love ya and are pulling for ya!!

Lord Bless Ya!!!

I finished listening to Pilgrim's Progress here at your site. What a blessing! I've tried reading it numerous times but couldn't get past the old English. Max just has a way of pulling you in. Thank you for hosting this wonderful audio.

I also watched your mission video. We are members of Wycliffe Bible Translators. The other day I was reading a colleague's prayer letter. They are in the "home stretch" of their program, very close to publication of the New Testament. In the letter he wrote about attending a funeral in the village of a very old Christian man. He said very soon that language group will be able to open God's Word in their heart language and read about heaven and God's promise to those who've accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Saying goodbye to people we love and care about is hard. We've attended a number of funerals the past couple of years of friends and family members. Having that promise of Heaven to cling to gets us through it. Hearing a minister tell about eternal life is comforting, but nothing compares with reading those passages in your own Bible, in your own heart language.

Thank you again for the resources you make available on your site. It's especially great for people, such as missionaries, who live on foreign soil and who do not have access to much in English where they are assigned. Even more so, new missionaries who haven't yet mastered the new language.

Thank you so much for your website and all of the beautiful music! I've been missing the old paths so much, it is healing to come home to it and to enjoy it tonight as I seek God's guidance in my life's trials. I want to say thank you so much for all of the time and effort you have put into this website! I was discouraged tonight and seeking a connection with some counseling for my trials looking for the old paths.... I found your site. The music you have blessed my heart so much with, it has been comforting as I've navigated your site to hear it. I so greatly enjoyed your recorded music too! "I have been blessed" is my favorite song along with "God has been good", and your voices are so beautiful to me. Is there any way I can purchase a CD of your music??? Please let me know, I would love to have "I have been blessed" and "The Old man is dead"....any others too!

Thank you, Heather

I just wanted to write you a short message that I enjoyed so very much your sermon, and wonderful singing this morning. Your daughter is a delight, you should be so proud. My little 5 year old nephew told me on the way home that she was really good.
I say AMEN to your daughter's singing!!! She brought happy tears to my eyes. I pray for all of you, and your mission, and that GOD blesses you all as you travel, and speak GOD'S WORD! You are awesome, Brother Dan I enjoyed listening to you this morning, as well as my 13 year old nephew. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Pastor Sherwood, I was so excited to receive your email and so glad that God has made a way for you and your family in your ministry. I enjoyed your sermon when you visited us. Your message was so REAL. You speak at a level that everyone understands and your PASSION for GOD is exciting and contagious. I will pray for you and your family, but as we know, GOD has already made a way for you and I believe through FAITH, you and your ministry have already been blessed and GOD has and will continue to open doors.
I believe in you and what GOD has for you, your family and your ministry. What a dynamic testimony and personality. You have surely recognized your gifts and are using them to GLORIFY HIM. I will add you to my daily prayer list and when possible will try to support you financially. THANK YOU for being willing to be used by GOD.

Looking forward to your help in the western United states, and specifically helping our "Revival of Hope" 4th of July Week.

We will reach four outlying cities with no Baptist church. I'm sure South Dakota is like Montana where entire counties have no Baptist Church.

We are praying as you are raising support and encourage everyone to get behind you and your family to raise the extra $550 per month.

Writing you in hopes of encouraging our newest missionary! Any family that gives up their lives to serve God will get attacked and discouraged, and I want you to know that we are praying for you, your family and your ministry.

Last time you came was such a blessing to our church. We went to the missions conference in hopes of seeing you preach again. Your wife was lovely as well as your daughter. She was just adorable. The Lord has blessed you with a talented beautiful family. My daughter Elizabeth is the same age and often talks about her friend. When we visited your website we enjoyed much of what is on there, including the song she sings. She is so cute!

I can not wait to see you all again. We love missionaries at our church, we really love seeing them, hearing from them, and praying for them. They are very special to us. When you have time to update us, please do. We love to hear how our missionary families are doing, there needs and prayers. Thank you so much for giving up your life to serve God.

I was surfing through the Baptist sites this morning and came across your wonderful page! You are in South Dakota to boot! We love South Dakota. Our 5yr old son is named Dakota , after the Dakotas. :-)

I wanted to ask if you could steer me in the direction of where I can get a 1611 KJV bible for my husband and I. Perhaps a place that donates them? We don't even care if they are good and broke in. :-) We just recently come back to the IFB faith. Well my dear husband was raised IFB and I am all new to it and so glad to be apart of it! God is so good. AMEN! Amen.

If you have any suggestions, we would be most grateful. Thank you.

Hello Preacher Dan!

You were at my church (Faith Baptist) on last Wednesday night. You were preaching and blessing my soul! I had my two girls and another teen age boy with me. We had to leave the service early that night to get this boy home. His stepmother wants us to have him home by 9:30 on school nights, so we have to leave before the service is over often times.
The only time he hears the word of God preached is when we take him to church with us, so I don't want to make his parents mad. I want them to let us take him as much as he's willing to go. It bothers me to have to leave early sometimes, but my Preacher Tim knows why. I just did not want you to think that we were being disrespectful to you, God's man.

You are a blessing to me and my family every time you come! I sure would like to hear you sing that song, "The Old Man is Dead" when you come again. You are a joy and we appreciate your family.

God Bless You!

Bro. Dan, Amanda, and Michala, I go to Victory Baptist. I loved your video and am so happy God gave you such a strong burden for South Dakota. It's crazy how many people "next door" or "across the street" there are in America that don’t know the Truth of God's Word and His plan for Salvation. I wanted to let you know I'm teaching Sunday school this quarter. Last year we took up an offering every week for a missionary in Ireland. At the end of the summer we sent it to him and his family. This summer we'll take up an offering for the Sherwood’s going to South Dakota. I'm excited to see God work and wanted to let you know my Sunday school class and I will be praying fervently for you and your family:).

Again, I just would like to thank you and your family for joining us at Blessed Hope Baptist Church on Wednesday night. It was indeed a blessing from God that you came into out midst. I'm sure that our congregation that was there will count this service as one of the most moving mid-week services that we've had in quite some time. You and Amanda are very dynamic in your witness for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and we know that God has great plans for your ministry in the future. We at Blessed Hope look forward to the day when you can come back our way and fellowship with us again. My God continue to bless you and your family.

I want you all to know what a blessing you were to us at South Haven Monday night. I have listened to the recording of your music from that night and rejoiced with you in song all week. Hi Bro. Dan Sherwood & Family!

Have come across your site and am intrigued and refreshed by your ministry and the fact you seem to be one of the few who have not yoked with the state in incorporation. My son, age 19, is feeling the call to ministry, but refuses to link with a church that is incorporated. Searching for an unregistered church that is uncompromising and faithful to the Gospel has been a frustrating task, although we have enjoyed some great preaching at a church we've attended in AR and my sons and husband have been attending the Bible Institute there, but have been unable to join. Our family is willing to relocate. Do you know of any good, conservative unregistered Baptist churches? How does a young fellow, feeling the call to ministry, yet knowing he must be sent out from a local church find his way in a day when the majority of churches are registered with the state?

Currently, we are in the Memphis, TN area helping our ailing parents. We have lived in northeast AR for 9 years and are willing to relocate to a good church but are feeling led to help our parents right now and would be thrilled if we could find a church within driving distance to Memphis. Do you know of any unregistered independent uncompromising Baptist people or local Baptist churches in the AR or TN areas?

Thanks. I appreciate what your family is doing for the Lord.

Blessings, Tamara

Hey Bro.Dan and family,
I love your website. Wanted to let you know we are praying for you and your family. We hope to see you tonight at Bro.Jim Veitch's church with Bro.Sammy Allen, we have been having a ball at the revival this week and so far seven souls have been saved. I want to thank you Bro.Dan for all the years that you helped me to reach out to other people and give them the Gospel so they could be saved. I learned from your well balanced preaching to love people and to tell them the truth about their sin, but not to beat them over the head with a billy stick. Thank GOD for The Old Paths Baptist. Keep up the good work, and I pray that GOD will continue to bless you and your family!!!

Hello Bro. Dan,
I stumbled on your website today. It's amazing how God works! I was googling Micah Henson's death. I just found out! They sang at the campmeeting last summer held at Sunlight Baptist here in Kernersville, NC. I saw your video clip to SD. WOW! My husband and I ride motorcycles. We rode to Sturgis 2005. Beautiful scenery out there! I will be praying for your ministry work!

Bro. Sherwood, I appreciate your stands for God. I thank God it is still possible to find men interested in birthing churches. I am out of the Arnold Baptist Tabernacle in St. Louis. James Beller is my Pastor. (Author-America in Crimson Red, Soul of St, Louis, ect.) We just held meetings and knocked doors in another area of St. Louis. It is in the shadow of a Muslim Prayer tower. If the Lord allows us, it will be A.B.T.s 7th church plant. It is great to find your info. and strong promotion of church planting. I travel the country and hold Baptist Heritage Conferences. The main goals are to give people the correct history and to promote birthing churches. We also do soulwinning, ect. while with churches. If I can ever be a help to you, contact me. (ps. I found you while looking up info. on Micah Henson) (pss. We are also promoters of strong standards, ecclesiastical separation from the state, and Local Baptist Church only!)

Bro. Dan,
My name is Scott. My wife and I are former Marines and we reside in Jacksonville N.C. (Camp Lejeune) I manage a car dealership, and feel led to try to help you and your ministry, can individual families provide monthly support or only churches? By the way I loved the video, our new Pastor just came here from the state of Washington and it is amazing how un-churched and lost that region of the country is, I guess kinda like S.D.
