Heston To whom it may concern, Bro. Dan Sherwood was called to preach while listening to the preaching of the Word of God in this local Baptist church when he was eight years old. He grew up in a Godly home that was dedicated to serving the Lord. His mother is a great blessing to all of us. She has since become a widow, and is still serving the Lord faithfully in her local church. His burden for reaching souls became more evident to me after he received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps, and returned to this church with his new wife looking to serve the Lord in the ministry. He and His wife Amanda assisted our Spanish ministry with Pastor Abel Ramos by working with the young people. It seemed that the more he served, the greater his burden for souls grew. His vision to plant a church in the North West will not be satisfied until he does the Lord’s will. He has a fire burning in his soul which is evidenced by the fervor and the power of his preaching, soundness in doctrine, and the Spirit filled singing that he and his wife do for the Lord. This church considers it a blessing and an honor to have a part in this ministry in seeing souls saved in an area of Our Country which has no visible witness or church to train believers. I highly recommend and support the Sherwood family in their burden to reach the lost, and to plant a much needed local, independent, fundamental, old fashioned, soul winning, separated, sin killing, sinner loving, saint building, God honoring church in Rapid City South Dakota for the glory of God Almighty. I recommend that every pastor, church, and saved person get to know the Sherwood family and the love that God has put in their hearts for people.
